A Narrow Escape

Bob and Ian took off their packs and got ready to make some instant soup. Bob was just about to light their small stove when they heard a rumbling noise. Suddenly, snow and ice started falling outside.
Moments later, the snow had blocked the entrance to the cave. They were trapped in the cave, and they were freezing cold and very scared. Bob radioed for help.
Three hours later, their rescuers arrived. It took six hours to dig Ian and Bob out of the cave. The rescue team explained that there had been a small avalanche. After that, a helicopter took the frightened men to the Rescue Centre. “Will you give up climbing?” asked their rescuers. “No, but we won’t go into any more caves,” Ian said.
