Hello world (or, what is this site?)
When programmers learn a new language, the first program they write usually says: hello world. It’s one of those silly things programmers (who are typically silly people) do.
Good thing I’m not a programmer.
However, “hello world” is actually a very appropriate thing to say right now … this is literally a hello world from me, a hello world from The Linguist, and a hello world from The Linguist team.
This blog is going to be about learning languages. Specifically, learning the English language, but also about learning any language in general.
It’s also going to be about cool stuff that we’re doing at The Linguist to make learning the English language not only better and faster, but also more rewarding. But more on that later.
For now – we’re here. Hello world!
