Question:benden
"Benden erik istedi. Çok pahalı"

"Benden" ne demek? Bu cümle "Ben erik istedim" diyor mu? Maalesef anlayamıyorum...
Hi,

''benden'' mean is '' from me''
The subject(O)(he/she) is hidden here.
Benden erik istedi.
O (hidden subject) benden erik istedi.
O benden kitabını almamı istedi.(He asked me to take his book.)
O benden kitaplarını geri istedi.

1.Ben erik istedim.(I asked/wanted................)
2.Benden erik istedi.(He/she asked/wanted me to.......... )
They are totally different from each other.But they can be mixed easily because of the hidden subject.
Thank you very much for clarifying this! You're right, now I've noticed that the previous sentence said "Kızım hastaydı, ama şimdi iyi."
How can we know that the subject is ''o'' here?
Its verb has a clue.
-istedi.(o)
-istedi-m(ben)
-istedi-n(sen)
.........etc.
I can also explain "benden" from its grammar structure.

ben = pronoun I (= nominative case)
benden = pronoun I (= ablative case)

So the logical translation is "from me".
