| Question: | A good translation |
|---|---|
| Term: | Då ber jag om ursäkt |
| Lesson: | SwedishLingQ - Greetings and Goodbyes, Part 3 |
I am not too sure why you think it looks like "I beg you to forgive me" there is no "me" in the sentence.
It is exactly as it stands and means "I am sorry", the "då" ---> means "then" so you could say: "then I am sorry".
In French "tu me manques" means "I miss you", but if you translate word for word you wouldn't get that as there isn't an "I" in the sentence.
It's the meaning that counts and not the word for word translation.
