O que significa a palabra HA?

Muito obrigada.
Há = third person singular of the verb "haver" (to have, to be) meaning "there is". But I'd say that is more common to use "tem" (third person singular for "ter") instead of "Há", at least in Brazil.
Há = Tem. Há um restaurante ali na esquina. = Tem um restaurante ali na esquina. = There is a restaurant down there in the corner.
Hope this helps.
