If you saw the Canadian program on hyperpolyglots from Canada, you'll remember that one of the polyglots eats protein before studying. Emil Krebs, according to Michael Erard (Babel No More) only ate meat and drank beer. Professor Arguelles is a vegetarian. Steve often mentions wine and sometimes fish.
I think all of this is a little silly, but I've never seen a language thread on this before, here or anywhere, so I'm posting this.
