why? cause I was pretty young and naive, hahaha.. err, I dunno. lots of different factors. I guess I was wishing that guide to be kinda "how to learn any language: quickly, easily, inexpensively, enjoyably and on your own" updated version - it is certainly not. in fact, benny's guide was/is more like "the quick and dirty guide to learning languages fast" (without any "hacks" -easy and/or really useful and detailed tips) mixed with some jim rohn speeches (selling herbalife)..

yep. too many nice words (motivation) but AFAIR: no method, no specific and/or detailed techniques (actually, that's why I reckon benny does not have any real method/techniques -e.g. see the way he tackled his mandarin mission)
that being said, it was my bad. there's no one to blame but me.. I knew benny was/is a tim ferris' disciple xD
now, on a more serious note and trying to be a lil bit "fair": it's not that bad. I didn't/don't like it but some people might find it useful (I think exactly the same about that pretty famous rosetta stone software), it's just that, IMO, it is too "shallow" to be useful
p.s. I love how his ads changed from this:
"Why German is easy discusses the core aspect of how I managed to hack German grammar and vocabulary in three months."
to this:
"How Benny managed to hack German grammar and vocabulary in three months."
(you know what I mean? I hope not xD)
