Is “esulienti” a typo?

Why do you think it is a typo? Without looking at the context (too tired now), I would say it is a dative like “civitati”.

Looks like “esulienti” must be an alternative spelling of “esurienti” (starving, hungry).
I don’t know the various parts of “edo,” so I could not see the similarity. Neither Whittaker’s Words, nor Google, nor Babylon recognize “esulienti.” I also don’t know whether in certain situations the letter “L” can substitute for the letter “R.”
