Słowa „północ” i „południe” oznaczają więc zarówno strony świata, jak i pory dnia.
How in this case you say “Midnight northern wind”? “Midnight ‘Eastern express’”?

I think in that case we would avoid using both words at the same time, because “północny północny” would sound funny So we don’t say so.
We could say for example either “północny wiatr [wiejący] o północy” and “pociąg ze wschodu [jadący] o północy”.
But thanks for asking! It’s a funny thing that as a native speaker I rarely notice such coincidences
If I can add something to Piotr’s examples…
Xena, can you give me a real example of using the phrase “Midnight northern wind”? I’ve search in my mind, but I have found nothing Yeah, I can imagine situation when someone says “midnight ‘Northern Express’”, what will be in Polish “północny ‘Express Północny’”, for example:
I’m mostly interested in English examples, it’s a chance to improve my English, but of course, it will be interesting to see Russian examples, if you also have one. Thank you
In my native Belarusian language we have the same thing with midnight and nothern
For example, “Midnight Nothern Express” (“północny ‘Express Północny’”) can be expressed as “Midnignt Express from the North” (“północny Express z północy”) or “The Nothern Express arrives at the midnight” (“Express Północny przyjeżdża o północy”).
