Cistyzuby – correct me if I am wrong.

The haček on the final e generally signals the word is an adverb. The adjective can end in ý (masculine), á (feminine), or é (neuter). ě and é are pronounced differently, too, so you can hear the difference as well as see it in writing. Those little flakes of pepper over the letters mean so much!

Do you have anything like this signalling of adverb vs adjective in Russian?

In Russian there are different endings for adverb and adjective.
сложно - сложный, сложная, сложное / сложные
хорошо - хороший, хорошая, хорошее / хорошие

Means, -о for adverbs and some endings for adjectives depending on gender (and number).
masculine: -ый, -ий
feminine: - ая, -яя
neuter: -ое, -ее
plural: -ые, -ие

There is actually a second class of adjectives ending always in -í. (jarní = spring / vernal, horní = upper, …)
