Adjective + Infinitive

When I have sentences like “It’s difficult to explain why …” or “It’s nice to see that …”, can I translate them into Czech by just using the infinitive after the adjective?

Like: “To je těžké vysvětlit proč …” or “To je pěkné vidět, že …”. It feels as if something were missing because just like in English “to + infinitive” I need to use “zu + infinitive” in my native language German.

I am not a native speaker, however I googled “To je pěkné vidět, že” and got over 8 million pages including the following sentence

Je pěkné vidět, že se studenti dokážou zabavit jinak než jen s chlastem v ruce.

Should have thought about googling myself. It’s just that whenever I use such a construction it sounds strange to me and I have the feeling that something is missing.

I have always felt that in language learning, the more independent we are of our own language the better we do. And when we encounter things that seem strange to us, we have to fight that feeling. Things that seem strange at first will soon seem natural.
