Could somebody paraphrase this sentence: "What I was being pitched

Could somebody paraphrase this sentence: “What I was being pitched was a binary solution”. I can’t get the meaning of the passive verb “pitched” here. Thank you!

To pitch an idea is to propose it to somebody or some group of people in a way that you are trying to convince them that it is a good idea. I don’t really understand it in this context though since nobody seems to be pitching any ideas to anybody else.

Like “sales pitch” - someone wants to “sell” you a binary solution. They are trying to convince you to go for the binary solution.

“I realized that what I was being pitched was a binary solution.”

I realized that what they were trying to sell me was an either/or solution.

I realized that what I was being pitched was a binary solution.
Apercebi-me que estava a ser rígido, era uma solução binária.
