Dear Steve,

Just two quick question:
When do you think its time to move up a difficulty?
and How long do you think it would take to become nearly fluent at French using LingQ?

PS: I'm relatively new to LingQ and love the learning system and content,so many thanks to
you and everyone at LingQ.

Josh, I tend to stay with beginner content for about 2-3 months and then start to study intermediate material. I agree with Imy that the idea of levels is somewhat artificial. We improve gradually, and at times seem to progress and at times we seem to stagnate, but over time with enough time and effort we achieve our goal.

If you spend an hour or so a day, you can expect to be quite satisfied with your achievement after one year. At some point you need to start speaking more. perhaps after 6 months or so.
