Steve, I recently found out about you and this website, and I am happy to say that I am very satisfied with the system and am exciting to further my knowledge.

However, I have a question not related to the system, or to any of my past learning. A good 1/4 of my family is of Hungarian descent, and the language was completely lost even one generation after my grandfather's move to Ecuador during the 30's (my father is unable to speak the language save some select phrases). I am a language lover, and it saddens me deeply that I am for the most part unable to speak, read, write, or understand Hungarian, save for a few phrases my father has passed on to me (my grandfather passed away before I was even born). I am aware that as of now LingQ does not offer services for the learning of Hungarian, but to my understanding, you are very knowledgeable about language-learning resources on the internet, and I was wondering if you had any suggestions on any places to start.

Thank you.

Sincerely, your fellow linguist and admirer, Juan Mateo Anhalzer.
I am sorry, I do not know where to look for Hungarian resources.
Just use one of the beginners courses man :-) Teach Yourself, Pimsleur, colloquial or a combination of a few. It's after the beginners courses it become difficult to find material. The Pimsleur course is rather expensive, but there's always "ways" (apparently) of getting around that. As for the other two they always seem to be good value for money in terms of what you get, just make sure you get the audio CD with them.
You could also try the ASSIMIL course "Hungarian with Ease": http://www.assimil.com/descriptionProduitDetail....
