Foreign language books and audio

Hi Steve,

Thanks for Lingq! I'm progressing in Swedish much more than I did with traditional language courses.

Do you have any recommendations on sources for Swedish language novels/audiobooks?

Dave
One thing that I've found to be somewhat unique for Swedish audiobooks is that they aren't abridged, so you stand a good chance finding one that you can use in parallel with your reading.
I have bought all my Swedish audio books in Sweden. I have never searched online. I particularly enjoyed the historical audio books, and especially texts written and narrated by Herman Lindqvist. It is usually possible to find the print version and the audio version of these texts. I don't know what might be available for import into LingQ though.

Idly looking for books by Camilla Läckberg translated into Russian, I came across this site a few months ago:

http://www.nordicbook.ru/

It's the only site I can offer in reply to this thread. Note that it has an English interface (the blue flag with the circle of stars, under the reindeer emblem) that is quite good. This is a site for Russians, so plenty of the books are in Russian--but many are not, but rather are in a Nordic language solely or in a Nordic language and English.

The prices for Russian books are not unreasonable, but I don't know how the non-Russian book prices stack up. Shipping (this is a guess) should range between $10-$20 (US). I've never ordered from them.

Steve, do any of the bookstores in Sweden that you have bought from have websites that process orders?
