Question:Chinese text with translations
Term:updating statistics
Lesson: CDE - 1.10 C 酒精饮料
Thank you, Angelia, for your Chinese content. I think it would be better to put the translation into a forum comment like this so that the German or English words do not distort the statistics of Known Words. I do not know many Chinese words yet, so the statistics are important for me. In the case of translated German beginner content, a user who knows German can look up the translation in the German library, so it's good to indicate the source of the content.
I do not use the pinyin versions for updating either, but they are useful nonetheless. In the meantime I can also update the content on another account to give you credit for your work (points!).
While I appreciate translations, I prefer not to have them at the same place (for statistical reasons as well as distraction).
Some Chinese lessons have the translations attached to, but not in, the lesson. Sometimes also the pinyin is attached in a similar war. This is very useful and does not cause distraction or statistical problems. If anyone wants to do this, I for one would be most appreciative.
Rae, this is an old thread. The option to add a translation to lessons is quite new. I guess we have this feature since one year. Before that time the only option was to put the text in a forum thread. As far as I know Angela did this for a lot of her lessons. Now as we have the tranlsation tab in the lessons that is the best place to add the translation.
Whenever non-Chinese words appear in the texts, one can simply click the red X "ignore" button to remove them from statistics.
Thanks Vera.
