When I returned to work towards the late '70s to earn some pin-money, I ended up as a temporary audio typist in the Typing Pool of the British Council in London. The historian in the video below joined our motley crew when she was just 17. She and I had so many laughs. We were certainly not the fastest of typists but the loudest and best spellers. Later Bernadine became a stand-up comedienne (a comic, as they began to say at the time) and even had a series on BSkyB or its equivalent. We kept in touch, of sorts, she is witty and funny. I notice that in this video she still is not fazed by cameras. Enjoy!
