I'm not sure I understand the issue here. Nothing has changed in the LingQ widget lately.
Pressing space bar causes you to exit the LingQ widget? The back space button doesn't delete?

This sounds like what peter had reported some time ago, but we weren't able to reproduce the issue to figure out what might be causing it.
Yes, finally someone else had the same issue!!
For me, it happens at least 50% of the time (regardless of which computer I'm using, or whether it's FF or IE). Because of this, I've developed a bit of an aversion towards manually creating LingQs. If the Google Translate definition is even remotely close enough, I'll take it, instead of having to copy and paste a "space" and copy and paste my "hint" afterwards just in case (sometimes it goes blank after saving it).
I definitely prefer it the way it used to be, where the dictionary would not automatically load in the LingQ widget window. It's also annoying how it adjusts your screen to make the LingQ widget window at the top of the screen, and how it defaults to "typing" in the dictionary search field (after about 5 or 10 seconds).

Peter, your patience is appreciated, and we expect that this issue will be resolved shortly. Cheers.
