Ah quindi lui so che tempo fa- is this just a grammatical error ? ,seems it should be lui sa che tempo fa

Ah quindi lui so che tempo fa- literally it’s, " About him, I know that, some time ago he received a job offer etc. " So" is a way to say that I have heard, what I know about this person is. Tempo fa here, is some time ago. Hope this helps.

thank you, that really helps. If there were a comma after lui, it would really make it much clearer because you would know that lui is not the subject of the verb so. I have noticed that written Italian is scarce on punctuation.

I agree with you, Italian does not seem to have a lot of punctuation and here it really made a difference.
