"tu piaci ad Antonio" - You like Antonio or Antonio

“tu piaci ad Antonio” - You like Antonio or Antonio likes you?

Again, Google translations don’t make sense to me and don’t help me at all.
Please, help me translate the sentences below as well;
“lui/lei piace ai professori”
“noi piacciamo ai nostri colleghi”
“voi piacete alle vostre fidanzate”
“loro piacciono ai tifosi”

In all these cases I have problem with understanding who likes whom. I am still newbie when it comes to the italian grammar :frowning:

Greg

“io piaccio a” is the same structure as “I please to someone”, so in “lui piace ai professori”, it’s the teachers who like him.

Oh, I see now.
The whole course of yours was easy and beginner-friendly. That’s just the one thing I had problems with.
Grazie!

PS. I see you’re into Polish which is my mother tongue. I hope one day we will have some both Polish and Italian conversations.
Dziękuję i pozdrawiam.
