Can somebody explain me this phrase in more detail? gli- him, to him; esempi - examples? Why are those 2 words combined to create a phrase that means “examples”, why add “gli”?
Once again I try to translate the text so directly and I experience some issues with that… I try to understand some grammar rules by reading those lessons but for now it all looks so random :frowning: Once its’ this, then it’s that… I am so confused whenever I encounter a phrase like this one mentioned in in this post of mine :frowning:

Hi Grigo92. Esempio is a masculin word and it starts with a vowel. So, the article that goes before this kind of word, is" lo" which at the plural is " gli ". So it is " the examples " and not " gli " in the sense of " a lui ". I am not very good at explaining grammar in writing, so I do hope I made myself clear. Let me know if you want me to explain it differently !
