I understand that this is a variation of "ser" but

I understand that this is a variation of “ser” but I’m not sure what tense this is because if it were present wouldn’t it be “sou” “e” “somos” etc.? In what kind of sentences do I use seja?

“Seja” is the imperative form of the verb “ser”
Seja bem vindo - Be welcome.

You can check the verb foms here:

by the way, there’s a typo in that lesson, it should be entender, instead of “enteder”

ah ok. I also have one more question, regarding se aprender.I understand that this is a reflexive verb, but sometimes I see aprender with “se” in front of it and sometimes without it. Could you perhaps explain when you use it with “se” and when you use it without because Im a little confused, I’d be really grateful.

Thanks for the explanation of seja. After seeing what the imperitive is, I get it now. Muito obrigado.

Can you provide some examples? I don’t think aprender is a reflexive verb.
Pode dar alguns exemplos? Não me parece que aprender seja um verbo reflexo.
