Open question: Since I am a newbie, I am wondering if a course like this about German Präpositionen means that the rules for prepositions are the same regardless of which dialect of German?–or does one have to study the prepositions in German-German, Austrian-German, Swiss-German separately to understand their use?

The prepositions are mostly the same in different dialects, but the application can be different.
However, you, like a lot of students, grossly exaggerate the role of dialects.
At least in the cities and towns they don’t play such a big role as it was 100 years before.

Danke für die Erklärung. As the poet said…“Ignorance is bliss!”

I am getting ready to tackle some of your courses, evgueny40 so your assurance is most timely.
