Do I use ‘como’ usually at the start of a sentence like como se diese?

Hmmm, yo no soy native, pero creo que es un modo correctamente como se uso ‘como’.

Yes, a question word does come at the beginning. But beware of the accent:

There is “¿cómo …?” which is used in questions and in standard expressions, like “¿cómo que no?” and "¡cómo no!

and there is “como”: … como amiga - como si fuera tonta - como está de viaje, no lo veremos, etc.(as a friend_as if she were crazy_as he is travelling, we won´t see him, etc).

P.S. Sometimes you see the ¿Cómo? without an accent, perhaps the rules are changing???
