¿Por qué hace le, y no hace la? Creía que haces la cuando hablas de niñas, y le cuando hablas de niños. Entonces lo ví y no lo entiendo todavía.

Why does it use le, and not la? I thought that you use la when you’re talking about girls, and le when you’re talking about boys. Then I saw it and I don’t understand it anymore.

Tienes razón - cuando se trata de los objectivos directos. Pero en esta oración -le- es un objective indirecto. Los pronombres indirectos son iguales. Se usa -le- para hombres y también para mujeres.

You are right - when you are talking about direct objects. But in this sentence -le- is an indirect object. The indirect object pronouns are the same. -Le- is used for men and also for women.
