I found “Delete this topic” on top of the page I created. It seems that you can delete the thread you began.
That sounds like a really bad feature. Imagine a long thread discussion, and later you go back to reference it and it’s no longer there because the person who initiated the discussion decided to delete the entire thread or accidentally clicked on the delete button and then mistakenly clicked OK. Oops, sorry! Entire thread discussion gone!

@brucenator. Your comment in this thread is safe and secure–what I am saying here is carved in stone. I will not delete this thread. However, I know a member who has a disposition to delete old posts sporadically.
If you are planning to delete the the thread you have created, you should give notice to the contributors beforehand.
