  • What is the LingQs limit?

    As you study a lesson and LingQ new words you would like to learn, you can add words you already know to your Known Words by clicking the "Known" button in the new word popup. Or, click "I know all" if you know all remaining blue words. Also, as you review and learn the words you have LingQed, these words will also be added to your Known Words.

  • How do I get points?

    Points are used for tutored services like writing correction and live conversation and to buy premium lessons. You can buy points or they can be earned by tutoring, referring friends and sharing lessons in the Library.

  • What do services cost?

    • 1 on 1 Conversation (15 minutes) = 500 points ($5*).
    • 4 on 1 Group Conversation (1 hour) = 500 points ($5*).
    • Writing Correction 100 words = 333 points ($3.33*).

    *Includes 50% discount for paying members.

  • Do points expire?

    Yes, any unused points expire after 90 days.

    The undiscounted price of points is $20 for 1000 points. Paying accounts will get a discount of 50% and will pay $10 for 1000 points.

  • How can I pay without a credit card (Visa/MC)?

    We do also accept payment through PayPal which lets you pay directly from your bank account, or by debit card, check or credit card (MC, Visa, Amex, Diners).
